Well 'Shady' you found a clever way to plug another one of our favorite TV shows. We're both happy and relieved that Shaw and Groves (Root) survived the season finale.

I know who you interviewed for this upcoming series. You played one of her records for me and I loved it. You kept everything else secret and I can't wait to read the posts and hear the rest of her songs.

    1. Hi, Kathryn! That was a thrilling season finale on P.O.I., wasn't it? I appreciate how the series has changed and evolved during its run. Far from cartoonish, Person of Interest is a complex, multi-layered, intellectually challenging experience and I'm glad we enjoy watching it together.

Yes, it's almost time for me to unveil my special interview series, the most ambitious undertaking of the year. I can't tell you how happy it made me when you listened to one of her recordings and gave it a big thumbs up. I know you are very picky when it comes to music and few singers meet with your approval. It made my day when you agreed with me that she is a great singer.

Thank you very much for your visit and comment, Mrs. Shady. I hope to see you back here one week from today for the start of the interview!

  2. I'm an early poster as I have today off from work due to "low census" in surgery....no pay but I get to comment on Shady's blog..priceless! Again you have referenced another TV show I don't watch. Can you see I'm very much TV deprived? I must branch out! I will be here next week (God willing and the creek don't rise) to find out who your guest is and enjoy the interview and some new education in music. I hope you and Mrs. Shady have a fabulous weekend!

    1. Hi, dear YaYa! The word "census" is often uttered in my household, too, but the word "low" is not often used in the same sentence. It's very nice to see you, dear friend. I hope you are enjoying some nice Ohio weather on your day off.

I'm sorry I picked yet another TV series you don't watch. Maybe you should submit a list of the shows you do watch and I could determine if we have a match. How about The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer? :)

Thank you for expressing interest in my special two part interview. I predict that you will enjoy reading about the life of my special musical guest and hearing her great recordings. Please mark your calendar for May 23 (Pt. 1) and May 30 (Pt. 2).

Thank you again for stopping by, dear friend YaYa. Please give Eddy a pat on the head and a doggie treat for me!

  3. Shady, you tease! I can't wait! I will be marking my calendar for sure.
By the way, i'm sure you'll be very surprised to learn that i HAVE seen this show! I'm not a regular watcher, but i do catch it when i can. I find it terribly 'interesting' (ha ha). I do hope (for my sake at least) that you have more posts with this theme. Very Cool.
Until then, Daisy and I will eagerly be awaiting your next post!

    1. Hi, dear Abigail! Question: Does Daisy watch Person of Interest with you or is the violent content too intense for her? :) Well, I am very happy to know you are at least familiar with this series, dear friend, and especially glad that you appreciate and enjoy my parodies.

I am very proud to be able to present this exclusive 2-part interview with a very talented recording artist and it pleases me to know that you plan to mark your calendar and BOLO for these two special posts beginning next Friday.

Thank you so very much for coming to spend some time in the Shady with me, dear friend Abigail. Please give Daisy a big hug and a kiss for me and have a wonderful weekend!

    2. lol, little Daisy actually falls asleep! Apparently, this type of program is not her favorite.
She is usually awake during the Beverly Hillbillies or Gilligan's Island, though. She either prefers those shows or finds it hard to snooze because our laughing bounces the couch cushions too much!
      see you soon :)
      ~Abigail

    3. LOL - That's funny, Abigail! I wonder what it is about the Beverly Hillbillies and Gilligan's Island that keeps Daisy's attention. It could be that she is "anchored" to the whimsical music and the laugh track that she hears every few seconds in those old comedies. Those things along with the sound of your laughter and your bouncing, keep her amused and awake. Or maybe it's the suspense. Daisy can't wait to find out if Jethro fulfills his dream of becoming a movie star and is curious to see if the castaways ever get off that island! :)

You know much I love your returns visits, my dear friend Abigail. Thank you for coming. Stay cool there in Kansas and I'll connect with you again soon!

  4. Hi Shady...very interesting, I'm sure! And, I know it will be a treat. We're all wondering...is it the person who's silhouette you've posted? Kind of looks like...well, I won't give it away, lol! No really, I'm just kidding!

This will be fun. I look forward to the interview. Have a great weekend! ♫

    1. Hi, Suzanne! Thank you very much for swinging over from Texas, dear friend! To answer your question, that silhouette is a generic image and not actually my special guest. Come to think of it, it looks like it could be your silhouette! (LOL) I'm glad I ignited your interest in this year's interview and I look forward to seeing you here for Part 1 on May 23 and Part 2 on May 30.

Thank you again for your visit and comment, dear friend Susanne. Have a safe and happy weekend in Ft. Worth and say hello to Karo and Scootie for me!

This is quite a teaser, Shady! You know so many songs and artists, as well as different styles of music, that I can't even begin to guess who the mystery person could be.

As for t.v. shows, I keep waiting and waiting for a post creatively showcasing The Weather Channel and their ever-changing, delightful background music for Local on the Eights!

I'm looking forward to your 2-part interview, and hope to be there to learn and enjoy.

    1. Hi, Kathleen! Thank you very much for reporting in, dear friend! This is an amazing coincidence. I just put the finishing touches on a new post called "When Storms Attack: Jim Cantore's Scariest Moments." :) It frustrates me that I picked yet another hit TV series that is loved and watched by millions but not by my readers, but at least we have one thing in common. I love listening to "Local on the Eights." Whenever it comes on I imagine myself in an elevator. :)

Dear Kathleen, apart from your mother's 102nd birthday which we recently celebrated with her, my upcoming "person of interest" interview is this year's main event - months in the making. The recording artist you will meet is extremely gifted, a very special lady. I know you will relate to her and love her as I do. I look forward to seeing you here for Part 1 on May 23 and Part 2 on May 30.

Thank you again, dear Kathleen, and have a great weekend!

    1. Hello again, dear Rita! I certainly remember you, my Fargo friend. Seems like a year since we last connected. I hope spring has finally sprung up in your part of the country.

I am elated to find out that you know and love Person of Interest! Please check my back pages in case you also love Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Blacklist and Family Guy because I have spoofed those series as well.

I am very happy to know that you are waiting in giddy anticipation to learn the identity of my mystery guest. I invite you to return next Friday and the following Friday, find out who she is and listen to her wonderful recordings.

Thank you very much, dear Rita, for coming down and showing your support. I wish you and your kitty a fine weekend in North Dakota!

    1. Hallo hallo hallo, dear Thisisme! How's everything in Devon, my special friend?

You are correct! I did not interview Elvis! :) You can also rule out Frank Sinatra and Tiny Tim! :) I'm glad I inspired you to put on your thinking cap and try to guess who it could be. I hope you will be here for the unveiling of my special two-parter next Friday, May 23. I believe you will thoroughly enjoy meeting my guest and experiencing her fabulous singing voice.

Thank you very much for your visit, dear friend Thisisme. Please take good care of yourself and have a wonderful weekend. My thoughts are with you often. Hugs and SMOOCHES!

    1. Hi, Toni! You are too kind, my dear friend. I'm glad you thought this post is funny, but I have a feeling you don't watch Person of Interest or you would have told me so. Guess I'll have to post parodies of Dancing With The Stars and The Bachelorette! :)

My special guest is a marvelous singer and I know you will be wowed by her talents and find her story fascinating. I can't wait to present it but I'm not about to be a spoiler and reveal her identity before Friday. I hope you can make it over that day for Part 1 and return the following Friday, May 30, for Part 2.

Thank you very much for your visit and kind comment, dear friend Toni. Have a terrific week ahead!

      You want a clue?
Here's one: bigger than a bread box. :)

If that's not enough to allow you to guess the identity of my person of interest, then you'll just have to wait until Friday along with everybody else. I do hope you will join me for this upcoming two part series. I feel very fortunate to have been able to interview this talented songstress. Her recordings are excellent and she has come to mean a great deal to me.

Thank you very much for reporting in, my dear Knoxville friend. You are a delightful playmate and I appreciate you being here for me. Have a wonderful Wednesday, dear Cherdo!
